On a cold Sat. morning, I saw record numbers of Common Merganser and Double-
crested Cormorant at Larsen L. in the L. Hills Greenbelt. There were 5 COME
and 11 DCCO on this small, 7 acre, lake. Both of these are largest numbers I
have seen at the lake. Also, there were 40 Mallards, >100 American Coot, 1
Pied-billed Grebe, 12 Canada Geese, 6 American Wigeon, 2 Bufflehead, 2 Ruddy
Duck and two East Indies Black Ducks that have been present for over two
years.
