Columbia Estuary CBC

Skies were clear. The temperature never rose above 35F with a wind
chill hovering between 15 and 20 F.

The unofficial count is 115 species (below average) with a notable
NASHVILLE WARBLER at the mitigation bank, 2 WHITE-TAILED KITES and
hundreds of KILLDEER. We were also knee deep in GOLDEN-CROWNED
SPARROWS.

There were no seabirds to speak of. No kittiwakes, no Pacific Loon.
We missed Northern Shrike, Red Crossbill and Semipalmated Plover that
were seen just yesterday.
