On American Lake, at 8:00am on 12/19/98 we had a pair of Trumpeter Swans off
of Tacoma Golf and Country Club. We observed the birds for about 15 minutes
and then they took off for the south and were not seen the rest of the day.

The Little Gull was seen on 12/18/98 amongst 150+ Bonaparte's Gulls, but on
12/19 there were only 12 Bonaparte's Gulls to be found and no Little Gull.

For a definite out of season sighting, one BARN SWALLOW was cruising the
lake of of Harry Todd Park on American Lake.
