This cold weather has brought us a few good birds. Temps have been
from 5-15 degrees for the past 5 or 6 days with a skiff of snow this
morning.
Sunday, Dec. 20 we took a short trip up Mill Creek east of Walla
Walla, we found the BLUE JAY that had been found on the CBC. Other
good birds: WILD TURKEY, EVENING GROSBEAKS, BALD EAGLE,
GOLDEN EAGLE, TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and GREY-CROWNED
ROSY FINCH.
Today at our feeder, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW(2nd. time in 17
years). Also 2 VARIED THRUSHES, first for the year.
Good Birding! Larry and Jacque Goodhew, south of Walla Walla.
