Tweets,
This year was the 3rd Port Gamble CBC, 2nd since its resurrection last
year. We totaled 119 species on Count day with Brown Pelican and Gadwall
being count week birds. Notable misses were Harlequin Duck, California
Gull and Saw-whet Owl. With the wind being so high we almost missed a
couple of seabirds: Black Scoter-1, Rhino Auklet:1, Anceint Murrelet:3.
Notable highlights were Rock Sandpiper near Foulweather bluff, Trumpeter
Swans near Port Ludlow, Dipper near Suquamish, 8 Greater-white fronted
Goose near Miller Bay, 6 Evening Grosbeak and 26 Common Snipe. Thankyou to
all of the participants who braved the bonechilling wind and still managed
to bring in some good birds.
