Saturday I conducted the monthly census at the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R.,
in Clark County near Washougal. Fifty species of birds were found the
best of which were:
GREAT EGRET 1
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE 21
SNOW GOOSE
CINNAMON TEAL 5
BARN OWL 2
SHORT-EARED OWL 1 (it has been about 15 years since I last saw one here).
