On a beautiful Sat. morning, 16 birders showed up to tour the West Seattle
Shoreline. We started at Salty's and stopped at various places along the
east, north and west shore of West Seattle, ending up at Lincoln Park. We saw
a total of 34 species. Highlights were:

3 grebe species
Brant
3 scoter species
Common and Barrow's Goldeneye
Harlequin Ducks
Black Turnstone
Dunlin
4 gull species
Pigeon Guillemot
3 Hermit Thrush feeding on the "fire" berries of the Pyrocanthus bushes above
the rest rooms on the promenade at Lincoln Park
