At the Silver Mt. ski area at Kellogg ID Sunday, saw a dozen white winged
crossbills from about 5 feet away as they dropped down to a meltwater pool
on the entryway patio at the chalet. Forgot to bring my binos so I'm not
sure how many of the numerous tree top finch flocks were also crossbills.
These are not shy birds!
