January 30, 1:30 pm. Tom LaRussa, 782-7343. Calling to report the CLAY
COLORED SPARROW is still present at the Woodenville-Duvall Rd and Snoqualmie
Valley Rd intersection, still in the southeast corner. Can be pretty easily
with CROWNED SPARROWS and a couple of WHITE THROATEDS there too. This report
is from yesterdau the 29th.

January 31, 9:24 pm. Bruce LaBar, (253) 272-1058. Today several of us went
to Monroe looking fo rthe RUSTY BLACKBIRD and HARRIS' SPARROW. We were
successful. In fact we saw two RUSTY BLACKBIRDs, one juvenile and one winter
plumage adult. Don't know if that was reported before. We also found the
HARRIS' SPARROW and WHITE THROATED SPARROWS. We also looked for and found the
CLAY COLORED SPARROW in the area it had been reported. This is just an update.
Good luck and good birding.

February 1, 7:36 am. This is Scott Atkinson. This report is for yesterday,
January 31. Between 3:30 and 4:30 I was unable to locate the CRESTED CARACARA
at Neah Bay. I met some other birders who said they say the bird earlier near
the senior center, on the beach and on the hillside just to the northwest. I
did locate a brown morph GYRFALCON near the mouth of the Waatch River. There
was also a PEREGRINE there. That's all. Good birding.

February 2, 414 pm. This is Dave Bodette, (206) 365-2083.This morning the
RUSTY BLACKBIRD was observed 10:10 - 10:25 am at the 2 Rivers Wilblife
Management Area in Snohomish County. From the north parking lot cross the
slough, turn right about 100 yards along the blackberry thicket. The bird was
on the ground and appeared to have an injured wing. Later at the Kent Ponds in
King County there was ab adult PEREGRINE in a small snag at the south end of
the facility. A morning dove was in flight here. Northeast S 212th St and 64th
Ave S in Kent was an adult SNOW GOOSE, with about 44 CACKLING CANADAS and 100
GREAT BASIN CANADAS. catch you later. Bye.

February 1, 7:02 pm. This is Bret Grissom (206) 329-4194. Back from an
Audubon Society Field Trip to Blaine wishing to report we saw 2 BARN SWALLOWS
across from the Peace Arch. Good luck and good birding.
