Ground clearance isn't the most important feature I'm looking at. All I'm
looking for is a little more clearance and tougher suspension than my Metro.
Although my Metro was a great, reliable ride, any car will outdo it in those
two areas. Many respondants mention 4WD vehicles, but I'm not leaning
towards that feature. I'd be inclined to get out and walk if the road was
that bad.

Thanks to all who have given their input. So many people have mentioned used
cars as a good way to go that I've softened my position on wanting a new
car. I'm still leaning towards new however.

Best wishes,
