Since you are taking votes, I prefer the old default. I think that there
were really very few accidental personal messages and some of the ones
that appeared accidental may have been deliberate although inappropriate
from people who didn't know the address of the person they were trying to
send mail to. As for nonsubscribers not getting mail, the current
situation is that subscribers are likely to get the same mail twice, once
individually, and once to tweeters when it is cc'ed. In my setup at least
it is at least as easy to add an adressee as to remove an undesired
addressee so I am often tempted to send mail to tweeters and the
individual subscribers just so I don't have to go to the trouble of
removing the individuals name which is there by default.
