Hi Tweets,

First, I would like to add to the previous mentioned signs of spring, all
the male mallards are doing grunt-whistles at Ronald Bog now, and they
were not last week.

Also at Ronald Bog, I saw a male pintail yesterday. Because I was on a
school trip at the time, I didn't have my binocs (this seems to be a
repeating pattern, I think maybe its my turn to go to the corner)
Anyway, this pintail looked different. It didn't have the long tail for
starters, and the color patterns were messed up a little. Can't say much
more than that though. I am inclined to say it is a hybrid of some sort.
If any other tweeters want to check it out, Ronald Bog is at N 175th
street and Meridian, just one block west of exit 176 on I-5, in King
County
