Well - I'm a bit torn.

I did find Dan Victor somewhat convincing, when he noted the effect on
non-members and digest members. I hadn't thought of that. [ However, a
non-member *should* always note that follow-ups need to be directed to them
personally. ]

On the other hand, there have been a couple of times when I have gotten
personal replies which previously would have gone out to Tweeters at large.
And those replies *should* have gone out to Tweeters, I think. Innocent
sounding follow-up questions often turn into the most interesting
discussions on this newsgroup.

Mechanically, I have no problem with either choice, since my email program
has both Reply and ReplyToAll buttons, and I am very good at deleting
messages :)

So I am voting to return to the old default.
