Yesterday, while working in my yard, I heard a sweet singing in the
Oregon grape that I did not recognize. I tracked the songster down
and to my surprise, it was a Bushtit! I have never heard an actual
"song" and all my bird CDs just give them credit for chipping and
group bursts of call notes. It was sunny and I guess he thought it
was spring!
