Rather tongue in cheek, I had responded a little earlier to Michael Price
with the following which seems to have more than a grain of truth to it!!

Seems to me this opens up a realm of possibilities, like:

Chinook Salmon Festival at The Dalles on the Columbia River
(They were here when Lewis & Clark came through)

Northern Spotted Owl Festival in Forks, Washington
(The Spotted Owl, roasted lightly, was great for breakfast
when we were cutting all those trees)

The Endangered Red Four Leaf Clover Festival at Woodstock
(You could always find one four leaf clover but it is
harder because of the mud, now)

Hey, you could plant some fields near the Trojan Power Plant in Oregon and
make a try for the Radioactive Strawberry Festival. Even have a motto "Eat
one and they'll be able to find you in the dark for the rest of your life!"
or "Just one berry will put a glow in your life!"

It's early and I think I'm over reactiving!!

Good Morning, Michael
