Captive baldies are notorious for getting crankier and harder to handle
with age
(as opposed to goldens, which are often real sweeties). It might not be
the older, more learned birds, which are tolerant of disturbance, if
captive behavior is any indication! :) (not that it necessarily is,
being in jail for life would turn me into a fruitcake, that's for sure)
