I didn't see too many answers in the same digest message, but of course

Anyway, I have the following suggestion:

The Birds of North America No. 298 deals with the Northern Goshawk (should
be in any good ornithological library or at nature bookstore). On page 4
under subspecies the A. g. laingi distribution is discussed, followed by
three references. A good starting point I would think.
