Subject: Great Backyard Bird Count Feb20-22

I was asked to notify tweeters of this affair, since Audubon was very
tardy in getting this information out to the public!
Birdwatchers across the country are invited to participate in the first
interactive bird watching-real time data recording event that is being
jointly sponsered by Audubon and Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The hope
is to connect backyards via the World Wide Web. Simply count and
identify birds in your yard and report them on the web site. Your data will
then be compiled and put back on the web in real time. By the end of the
weekend, interesting patterns of bird distribution should appear!

Participants should pick a time of day to count the birds and they report
their counts on each of the three days at the WEB SITE:
http://birdsource.cornell.edu/

Birdwatchers who don't have a connection to the internet can participate
by calling 800-843-2473.
