Early spring is apparently here in eastern WA, at least for the raptors.
The last two nights, the flammulated owls have been busy conversing in
my yard. The first night around 12 midnight, last night about 9pm. On
Monday, on my raptor routes three pairs of red-tails were observed
copulating! It was a very spring like sunny day!

In addition, I have noticed the appearance of many juvenile red-tailed
hawks appearing on my routes that weren't previously observed.

Oh yes, flocks of American robins and red-winged blackbirds are also
arriving.
