February 12, 9:59 am. The following report was received February 9th from
Rick Sanders, phone (206) 567-4144. On Vashon Island on February 8th a WESTERN
SCRUB JAY was seen morning and afternoon along the main Vashon Highway a
little over 2 miles from the north end ferry dock. It was in a pine grove
across the street from a sign for house number 14608. Thank you.

February 12, 9:44 am. Hi, Tom Aversa (206) 782-7342, Reporting a trip from
yesterday down to the Ocean Shores area . Uh, a couple of normal birds, a
first winter HEERMAN'S GULL on the beach near Ocean Shores, practically flying
in my car window, Uh, and also a LESSER YELLOWLEGS with 7 GREAT YELLOWLEGS on
Bowes Rd near the Humptulips River mouth. Also, 4 HORNED LARKS on territory
(?) on Damon Point and a young PEREGRINE FALCON at the Game Range. Also had
about 5 or 6 BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES including a first year bird that was
caught by a RED-TAILED HAWK.

February 10, 4:48 pm. Hello, this is Mark Moon, (206) 328-1015. I'ld like
to report that Richard Kruger saw a flock of 100 GRAY-CROWNED ROSEFINCHS at
the Stevens Pass ski area, Monday, the 9th of February. The flock of birds he
could see were at the top of the lift called Southern Cross Ski Lift on Big
Cheese Mountain, at about 5500 feet elevation. They were in sub-alpine fir
trees near rhe exit area at the top of the lift. Thank you very much.
