Isn't it nice to live in a country where national pride is not based on
the ability of toothless twenty-somethings to bash a rubber crumpet with
crooked sticks - over ice no less - with hopes that it will pass
Frankenstein and go into a midget backstop ? ;) ;) ;>
I can understand why they changed the national sport from lacrosse to
hockey - not much blood in lacrosse, and it's hard to play on ice! But
then they do still have curling...Yeah right, skidding rocks across the
ice and being so anal retentive as to clear a path with a broom (warms
up the ice with friction - ha!) so it gets into the little circle is a
sport? :)
Really, I love Canada, my dollars buy so much more there. ;)
And then there's the fact that they have more natural resources per
capita than any other country in the world....Oh, OK.
But then, they do produce folks like Michael and Jack, so it can't be
all bad!!
