Hello Tweeters,

I know that this list is for BIRDERS who are primarily interested in Bird
ID and adding to their life lists. In addition to that, my husband and I
enjoy attracting and watching hawks. This will be our 5th year with a
"backyard" Kestrel nesting box.

"Bob" arrived Jan 24 and has been observed daily staking out his nesting
territory. "Zoe" has yet to put in an appearance. We have observed Bob
twice, roosting in our equipment shed. Last night (Friday) he chased off a
Red-shafted Flicker from the nest box several times, but he must have snuck
back in. THis morning Bob had to forcefully eject him from the box.
