A trip through the Lummi Flats on the 14th turned up three "HARLAN'S"
RED-TAILED HAWKS and 6 SHORT-EARED OWLS. Not far away, at the Samish
Island "T" was a SNOWY OWL. A GYRFALCON was nearby at Sunset Road and a
PRAIRIE FALCON was at the east 90. For those unfamiliar with the Samish
area, the "T" is where Bayview-Edison Road intersects with Samish Island
Road. There are 90 degree turns within a mile either direction, east or
west.

On the 13th a GLAUCOUS GULL was found just south of the city limits of
Coupeville on Main Street.

On the 11th a HEERMANN'S GULL was on the beach at Ocean Shores. A
LESSER YELLOWLEGS and 6 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were near the Humptulips
River mouth off Burrough's Road.

Two SHARP-TAILED GROUSE were seen on the 10th on Bridgeport Hill Road
near Bridgeport.

Around 100 GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were seen at the top of the
Southern Cross ski lift at Stevens Pass on the 9th.

A WESTERN SCRUB-JAY was on Vashon Island on the 8th. It was about two
miles south of the northern ferry landing across from a house numbered
14608.
