Did a three day trip to eastern Washington over the Presidents Day weekend. Our route was: from Wenatchee north on 97 to Tonasket, took the Tonasket-Havillah Rd to the Sitzmark Ski area and returned by the same route south to Brewster, then se on 173 to Bridgeport, east on 174 to Grand Coulee, s on 155 to Coulee City, s on 17, continued s on 28 to Ephrata and back to Seattle via I-90.

Notable sightings included:

A male Mountain Bluebird on the Tonasket-Havillah Road. (Is this the first one this year again? We reported the first one on this same weekend last year.)

Ruffed Grouse on the Tonasket-Havillah Road.

A Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker at the Sun Lakes State Park in the same tree with a Red-shafted. (Has anyone else seen this bird? Would like a confirmation because it was a brief look.)

Canyon Wren heard singing at Sun Lakes State Park.
