I had no trouble finding coffee early in the morning in the New Territories
north of Hong Kong. At a 7-11, yep. Well, it wasn't coffee, it was
caffeinated water, but it prevented the withdrawal problem.

In Ecuador, there's a brand of instant coffee that proves that the only
reason our instant coffee sucks is because of the coffee used to make the
product, not because of the freeze-drying process itself. Of course, coffee
standards up in the Andes are excellent, I remember very well eating at a
very fine restaurant which grew its own coffee out back.
