Thanks for those that provided directions to the Ross's Goose at Keyport on
the Kitsap Peninsula. This is to confirm that it is still present and was
viewable today.

We also tried for the Mountain Quail at the South Port Orchard Airport and
after a lot of looking managed to see ONE!

Varied Thrush are singing and about 7 or 8 were seen and for the first time
realized you can ID them easily as they depart. The outer tail feathers
appear to be white tipped while the American Robin's are not. Is this a
figment of my imagination? I looked in several guides and didn't see it
noted. Robins were seen in 'groups' of a dozen or more quite often.

Nothing unusual on the bays or inlets -- we were hoping for a Tufted
Duck, Smew (Hah!) or some such but not to be. Or perhaps a Sandhill Crane
to wander around with us!! Thanks, Richard, that was a great report ---
Reifel here we come!!

Thanks and good birding to all,

Bob and Elaine
