I am seeing numerous reports of Saw-whet Owls and had a couple of questions
come to mind. Are recordings being used to get the owls to respond or do
they tend to call without prompting. If recordings are used does anyone
out there know of a good local (Puget Sound area) source. What time in the
night are they most likely to call? I have never heard of any in Kitsap
Co. but they must be around, and I was hoping to get out this weekend to
scout around. Thanks!
