How are things over your way? Good I hope.
Yesterday we saw two Asio otus and went back today and saw four all in
the same place! We got them nailed. This morning, at the feeder we saw
one Carpodacus cassinii. A positive ID. Some one local said that is
unusual for this area. If it comes back tomorrow I will get a picture.
Went for a drive and met Ruth and Patrick Sullivan and saw two
Centrocercus urophasianus!! Ruth was the first one to spot them at a
Lek. They were all puffed up and strutting around. I am going back
tomorrow to make sure it wasn't just a fluke--oh that belongs on a
whale. :-) Went further down the road and saw a Mature Falco mexicanus.
What a Great two days. Saw hundreds of Cygnus columbianus and other
birds. The Anas penelope was at a lake the day before yesterday, but
when we got there yesterday we couldn't find it--oh well.
I will let you know how tomorrow turns out.
