12 ELWAS member and friends birded LSSP in gorgeous weather. We had 37
species in about 2+ hours. It is nice having the bridge over Issaquah Creek
finally finished so you can bird the north side of the creek and get closer to
the Great Blue Heron rookery. Unfortunately, there were no birds on the many
nests yet. Highlights were:
Horned and Pied-billed Grebes
Green-winged Teal
about 50 Dunlin in a wet soccer field
Common Goldeneye
Common Merganser
4 gull species
1 female Belted Kingfisher - at north end of small south beach
Bushtits
Winter Wren
