Hi Deb,
While waiting for the Guemes ferry last Saturday I watched a pair
of bufflehead hurriedly take flight from the channel and wondered what had
spooked them. A river otter was cruising towards them. So I guess
that they have probably seen their relatives pulled under and munched.
