Deb,
I was once on a beach in Jamestown near Sequim watching Brant just off
shore. Suddenly the flock flew up. What was left was a River Otter
with a Brant in its mouth. He had it by the neck and would hold it
under the water. Every so often he would come up and look at me.
Eventually the Brant stopped struggling and the otter swam away.
