So what, if anything is known about the interaction between brown tree
snakes and mongoose? Will mongoose prey on b.t.s? If so, is there any
possibility that the established mongoose population on Hawai'i will help
to limit the number of b.t.s. there, and thereby help in some small way to
protect what is left of the native bird population? Or will both eat eggs,
and further the decline?
