My students are always bringing me feathers. These are elementary
students, so it doesn't ever really seem to sink in that I'd really
rather they didn't! This year one brought one in which may have been
Red-tailed Hawk tail feather. That definitely made me nervous!

I always try to analyze the feather with them to attempt species ID, as
long as we have it! ;-)
