The E. L. WA AS (ELWAS) went on a cruise with Ken McDonald out of La Conner
from 1000 to 3:00pm. We had 37 onboard on a cool, windy, but no rain
Saturday. On the way thru Skagit Flats we saw 7 Black-crowned Night-Heron at
the usual place on Fir Is. Road, estimated 15-20,000 Snow Geese and 3-400
Trumpeter Swan. We had an additional 35 species on the cruise as well as
harbor seals and one river otter.
