A partial albino Black-capped Chickadee with a round white area atop the
crown, like a bald-spot or a halo or a Yellow-rumped Warbler hat.

Well, it is a common species, but with cats and merlins around and an
incoming jolt of Arctic air arriving at the coast this afternoon (it's
winter, finally! And the first swallows due back in only a few weeks!), the
little mite likely has enough on its mind just finding enough to eat and
staying warm and safe. Even if I knew how to break the news gently, finding
out it's mundane might finish it.
