Those of you heading over to eastern Washington for winter birding thrills and
crossbill hunting in the Okanogan and a little nervous about the weather
should find these websites of great use and value. Better than anything on TV
or anywhere else.
Spokane 4-day weather forecast:

Spokane & Eastern Washington current radar:
http://www.intellicast.com/weather/geg/radar/
These are the BEST weather websites to refer to before and during your birding
trips to Eastern Washington. The current radar imagery is by far the very
very best and the absolute latest up to the second around because the
precipitation is *color coded* and in degrees of shading relative to current
intensity.
green = rain
blue = snow
pink = mix or ice
This is the INTELLICAST website system with useful bookmark^ links for
Seattle, all over the Pacific Northwest, and site specific for all over the
USA. The nation is covered 100%. The radar imagery can be so precise right
down to the very first snowflake. As of this moment (1300hrs PST - Friday),
there is nothing going on anywhere in the state. Before leaving Seattle or
from the we't side, you might want to check the Seattle 4-day weather and
Seattle / western Washington link accessible from the Spokane site above by
just clicking on 'other cities'.
