Tweeters,
Yesterday, Jan 2 I spent a few hours on Spencer Island. I did not
locate the Tree Sparrows which were reported near the barn. There were
about 6 different parties looking through the sparrows but all we could
locate were many Song Sparrows and a few Lincolns. We did find an
Orange-crowned Warbler near the lookout gate of the South Treatment
Pond. My full list includes:

Pied-billed Grebe
Western Grebe (Out from the barn)
Great Blue Heron
Tundra Swans (flying over)
Canada Goose
Green-winged Teal
Mallard
Northern Pintail
Northern Shoveler
Gadwall
American Wigeon
Canvasback
Ring-necked Duck
Bufflehead
Ruddy Duck
Bald Eagle
Red-tailed Hawk (3)
Northern Harrier (3)
Cooper's Hawk
Peregrine Falcon
American Coot
Dunlin
Mew Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull
Belted Kingfisher (male)
Hairy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee
Bewick's Wren
Marsh Wren
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
European Starling
Orange-crowned Warbler
Spotted Towhee
Song Sparrow
Lincoln's Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
House Finch

The species listed were found on Spencer, the South end of the waste
treatment pond and along the road in between.
