Subject: CARACARA!?

Hi tweets,

I just had a call from Jim Burlingame (360-645-2274), who saw what seems to
have been a Crested Caracara at Neah Bay on 4 January 1997. His description
wasn't detailed, as he saw it at a distance, but it sounded fairly
compelling to me. It flew east down the beach at about 2 p.m. Jim is trying
to borrow a camera to photograph it, but he may well not see it again. All
of you along the north side of the Olympic Peninsula better keep a lookout!

With a Xantus' Hummingbird in BC, why not?

Dennis
