Yes, I just tested this several ways before sending a reply to anything and
noticed what happens when you click on the "reply all" feature. The reply is
addressed to all tweeters + the originator or the post. It might take some
getting used to at first, and for now, you can always just select and delete
the originators name in the address. This would be a courtesy to limit the
load of duplicating incoming email. Perhaps this is a bug that could be
removed.

If the message is just a personal reply done privately, hitting the "reply to"
feature, the first line simply reads:

This is OK when the message is strictly a private exchange, and nothing has
changed from the way it was before. However, before when a reply was being
posted to the entire list, I usually edit that first line, to shorten it and
write the individual name to whom I reference just to personalize it giving
the reply a friendlier feel.

Yes, I know doing these little things might take a little more time, but these
little personalized touches are really worth the time and I think are
appreciated by others, but it also shows I believe that the replier is taking
a moment to think first and strive to be conscientious about posting to the
wide audience and to acknowledge the individual who originated the post. If
the majority decide that this is the way we would prefer the listserv to
operate, then instructions should be posted and made clear in the listserv
commands list and distributed to everyone. If not, we can always revert to
the previous format. Tweeters btw has been the only listserv that I've been a
member of that does (until now, did not) conform to today's revision. So,
this reply is the first message posted with the new revised protocol and Dale,
you should be receiving this message only once and via Tweeters.
