Dear fellow birders: I am one of the regional editors (Hudson-Delaware
Region) for Field Notes magazine. I will be in Seattle Thursday afternoon
Jan. 8 to Sunday morning Jan. 11 for a professional meeting. I will have a
few hours free to bird. Although I am unlikely to find a lifer, I would
like to get good studies of local gulls, Pacific Loon, Barrow's Goldeneye.
I won't be able to bring my scope, and don't expect to rent a car. First
and second-winter Thayer's Gulls would be very interesting. I will be
staying at the Seattle Hilton. Thanks for any suggestions. Robert O.
