Thanks to Tim for alerting us about the easy access to our subscriber
list.

I have now set the configuration to STATISTICS-TO-OWNERS to further
protect our subscriber list from spammers and informed the Lists Manager
of this additional leak. Anyone wishing these "statistics" can write me
directly.

In addition I've just set ARCHIVES-TO-SUBSCRIBERS conf. to help limit the
same.

While setting these configurations I noticed the REPLY-TO-SENDER option.
This has long been requested by Hal Opperman and others, not wishing to
see inadvertant postings to the list. As has been discussed that config.
is now also set. I hope these new settings won't cause you too much
inconvenience. At least we'll try it for a while. This is certainly an
inexact science for me.

Regarding having a small text file at the bottom of each posting with
information about subscribing and unsubscribing. That option is not yet
available with the current listprocessor software. We have a
listprocessor as opposed to a listserver which does offer that option.

Thanks Rob!
