Hi tweets,

I tried that URL and got mucho error messages, but finally blundered onto
the right one:

http://www.ups.edu/biology/museum/gullphotos.html

Gotta remove the < > brackets and add an 'l' to 'htm'; that should get ya
through.

Gotta agree with Dennis's comments. With that massive bulb-ended honker,
grey mottle rather than brown streaking, darkish eye and underwing pattern,
that Everett beast looks like a yucky B3 Western. Instead of a paler
underwing with conspicuous complex markings on the outer primaries, which it
*should* have by Basic 3 if it's a Slaty, it's got dark grey to blackish
primaries and secondaries with only one large mirror on what looks like P10,
as Western.

The other one is a perfect Slaty. Wow.

Great photographs, Ruth! Thanks for scanning them, Dennis!
