Tweets,

Interesting.....someone at Buffalo Bill's Sporting Goods
purports to know that the license pays for parking facilities and
only the driver is required to have one? From what i understand
it's a little unclear whether just the driver has to have one,
or if each member of the party has to be packin a license. When
I bought my license there two weeks ago the two employees behind
the counter at the time had never even HEARD of a conservation
license! They must be quick studys.

I'll be leading a trip to the Skagit for Rainier Audubon
in a couple of weeks and I'll be asking everyone who signs up
to obtain a license. Don't forget that you're not just paying $10
(or $11 with fee at Buffalo Bill's) for one birding trip. The
license makes you legal in ALL the wildlife areas around the state.
I'd guess that many active birders visit such areas as the Oak
Creek areas near Wenas/Naches, the Quilomene wildlife areas near
Vantage, etc. Then there is the opportunity to visit the Skagit
Wildlife Area in the summer
Wildlife Area in the Summer! In one very short trip there last
summer I saw Cedar Waxwings, Warblers, Green Heron, etc. I have
a feeling that this really would be a great area. Probably Sora,
Bittern and who knows what else nest there. It's suspected that
the Fir island Black-crowned Night Herons nest here, but as far
as I know it hasn't been confirmed. Take that little piece of
paper and explore Washington's underbirded
Wildlife Areas.
