Hi All

Yep, we're crazy. Made a trip to Gog-le-hi-te for the Slaty-backed Gull.
The roof that it was on when last seen by Ruth and others had the most
gulls but not THE GULL! Interesting that this is one of the few
wood-framed-asphalt shingled roofs in the area and must be warmer because
all the metal roofs previously used as gull parking lots were vacant. Lots
of gulls on the river but virtually impossible to sort them out in the
blowing snow. Walked the dike to check out the gulls on the pond ---
lots of them -- some of them had snow accumulating on their backs making
them tough to sort through, also. The Canada Geese had more than half of
their backs covered. Lots of Green-winged Teal and a Cooper's Hawk braving
the snow and watching for on opportunity for a quick meal.

Good fun until back on I-5 with all the stuff slip-sliding-away!! Good
time to hit Costco .. everybody stayed home.

So, Elaine still needs her Slaty-backed!!
