Hi John

Please continue the postings. The RBA's provide an opportunity to assess
what is moving in the area. I would also request that even if a bird has
been seen for 9 months in an area that if it is an unusual bird for the
area, please keep posting it. When I travel, the first thing I do is call
the hotline, RBA, check local postings, Audubon, etc and even if all the
folks in the Vancouver area are tired of hearing about the Eider or Xantu's
IT REMAINS VERY IMPORTANT TO OTHERS.

I saw Mike's comments and I can understand the frustration on both sides.
I have been both the problem and the solution at different times! At one
job the agency was ranked best in the nation and yet they were unwilling to
continue to develop innovative techniques that would have secured their
position (in my humble opinion!). The argument was we're doing better than
expected and we will hold that position. Sometimes (as in RBAs, etc)
improvements can be made but dedicated volunteers are hard to find and
keep. Improvement often equates to more man-hours that are not available.

Please accept my thanks for the fine job you folks are doing. It would be
a duller Tweeters without Vancouver, Oregon, Washington, E Wash/Idaho RBAs.
