Hmmmm... I guess that's possible, but I believe the back and nape were very
clearly white, and the cap on the crown was quite dark, not rusty. So if it
was a Snow Bunting, it definitely had irregular plumage. My impression is
its head was much whiter than shown in either Peterson or NGS, though I'm
not as sure on that point.

I haven't observed it again today. It may be next weekend before I get
another look at it, assuming it's hanging out around here, as I'm not
usually home in daylight this time of year.
