For those who like to track the winged exotic, tonight's (Tuesday's)
Seattle Times front page color photo of a home for sale at Three Tree
Point in Burien also points to our area's only Monk Parakeet hangout --
at least of two years ago. The article is entitled, " A real deal that
makes a point" and is about the feds selling the home of failed business
owners. Counting one house front left of the subject abode is a home with
two chimneys. The birds were nesting in a typical Monk stick nest is a
tree between the two homes. Two years ago the original pair still had one
survivor of two original young born in 1995. I haven't been back though
it surprises me that the locals haven't dragged the Monks into the 3rd
runway battle.
Peace
