[BirdBox last checked about 10 PM, January 14}.

January 13, 9:48PM - Hi, this is Mike Donahue. My number is (206) 527-2859
and this afternoon, Tuesday, January 13th, I followed up Dave Beaudette's gull
tip of a few daya ago and checked out the Tukwila Maintenance Shop. Among
numerous THAYER'S and GLAUCOUS-WINGED and GLAUCOUS-WINGEDxWESTERN hybrids
there was a fair number of HERRING and CALIFORNIA GULLS, one first winter
GLAUCOUS GULL and what I am fairly certain was a second winter GLAUCOUS-
WINGEDxGLAUCOUS hybrid that Dave had also reported. To find this place, take
Exit #1 from 405, it's marked Tukwila-West Valley Highway, head north which is
Interurban Avenue and turn right on to South 140th. I parked right there at
the City of Tukwila Building and the gulls were on the adjacent golf course.

[I am off on a long weekend of birding. The next transcription will probably
be posted Monday or Tuesday].
