Sorry for the late post but I had to take off for Olympia just after seeing
these birds and just got back!

Had a good day on Tues, 1/13, on my winter raptor routes. West of
Spokane on Coulee Hite (22714) road just east of Ritchey, Delorme p88
B/C 3, I saw an
American Tree Sparrow

West of Spokane and east of Reardon, Delorme p88 C2, I saw a
Peregrine Falcon (Stroup rd & Sunset) appeared to be Peale's race &
Gyrfalcon (On Alexander rd just on Lincoln/Spokane Cnty line)

Then travelling west from Reardon on the Old Hiway Rd (pg88 C1):
Great-horned Owl
North. harrier
Rough-legged Hawk (3)
Amer. goldfinches

(no snow buntings or snowy owls)

Before this last cold weather rough-leggeds numbers were relatively
quite low, but they are again quite common now. Unlike last year the
northern harriers have remained in the Spokane area all winter. Bald
Eagle numbers around Spokane are also low this year compared to the
last two years.

thanks,
