Jim,

I happened on these birds early this morning, I only saw 8, and they
were all mature. They were also west of Coulon, right off of the Boeing
shoreline almost to the mouth of the Cedar River (I was out looking at
one of the many airplanes you can now see parked outside near the
lakefront as part of my job). I think Richard reported 10 birds - I
looked carefully for the other 2 for the hour or so I was there and they
never showed up. Nice birds though.

Hi Tweets,

I was interested to hear that these geese were seen at
the park; I stopped by the park on the 4th to see if they might
be wintering again. This flock has wintered at the park since at
least winter 95-96. In early '96 it consisted of 12 birds, 2 of
which were immatures. Last year there were 12 adults. Did either
of you (Tom and Richard) notice whether they were all adults or
not?
thanks,
